To describe obesity patterns in older adults for the prediction in the short-medium term of factors negatively influencing functional health. To evaluate the usefulness of the guidelines currently available to identify sarcopenic obesity and reduce its adverse clinical outcomes.
Brief description of the activities and of the intermediate results: Continuing of the evaluation of patients enrolled in the OPA study.
Main policy, industrial and scientific implications: Implementing the diagnosis and management of the obesity will reduce costs associated with adverse events of this pathology.
