- The MHARA project aims to create an innovative robotic system specifically designed to interact effectively with elderly people, with the main goal of providing tangible support for healthy aging. This system will be able to recisionally identify the specific needs of the elderly, offering personalized assistance that increases the elderly's motivation and intention toward healthy behaviors. Interaction with the robot will be designed to promote active lifestyles and better health management, thus helping to improve the quality of life of the elderly and promote more rewarding and independent aging. While maintaining the goal of independence, the robotic system will also be designed in such a way as to meet the needs of caregivers, who often struggle with the management of the elderly due to issues inherent in the very use of non-autonomous and non-intelligent technologies. In this sense, autonomous robotic systems will be able to provide an important bridge for communication and caregiving, even at a distance from caregivers.
