Biosketch: Anna Velyka is a researcher at the University of Milano-Bicocca. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Turin, where she researched organizational knowledge flows using Social Network Analysis and knowledge graphs. Her work focused on optimizing communication, identifying informal leaders, and enhancing HR strategies through data-driven insights. She worked as a Junior Data Scientist at an IT consultancy, where she developed algorithms and data structures for HR data management and contributed to the EU Horizon 2020 project SETA on metropolitan mobility. She has also consulted for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, focusing on digital tools for forest product statistics. More recently, she was engaged in the Ukrainian Labour Market Occupation Outlook project, using large language models for job market analysis. She is currently contributing to the Next Generation EU project, Age-It, by designing data solutions that use AI and big data analytics to represent project outcomes and enhance the value of the accumulated findings.
