Biosketch: Navid Nobani is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Milano-Bicocca, where he teaches various AI and big data subjects, including Data Processing and Analysis, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI. Previously, he served as Head of Behavioral Analytics and Senior Data Scientist, where he developed scalable data analytics and behavioral analysis pipelines focused on enterprise clients. Currently, he leads the work package titled A Novel Data Analytics System on Ageing in Italy within the Age-It program. His research expertise includes Explainable AI, Natural Language Processing, and Human-in-the-Loop systems, which he explored extensively in his Ph.D. thesis, “Empowering XAI and LMI with Human-in-the-Loop.” An active member of the academic community, he serves on program committees for major conferences and has developed research tools, including ConvXAI for conversational explanation and TaxoRef for taxonomy refinement, underscoring his commitment to advancing AI interpretability.
