Biosketch: Alessandra Del Felice is an academic clinician in the area of Neurorehabilitation. Her basic training has been as a neurologist, with a special interest in neurophysiology and neurorehabilitation, and holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. She has attracted funding at UNIPD, with national and international funded grants. Her current research area allows her to draw on her experience and skills in neurophysiology to improve methodology and outcome measures in this important area of rehabilitation. The extensive collaboration with national (Department of Information Engineering, UNIPD, IT; Department of Information Engineering, University of Bologna, IT) and international Departments (Movement Analysis Lab, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston MA, USA; School of Computing, Engineering and Intelligent Systems, University of Ulster, UK; University of Antwerp, B; University College Dublin, IRL; UCL, London, UK) and SMEs (G.TEC, Graz Austria; EKSO Bionincs Inc, USA) provides the technological and computational means to accomplish these aims. She has a track record in EEG signal analysis, EEG-TMS co-registration, gait analysis, and neurostimulation. Her current research portfolio includes neurophysilogical correates of loss of balance with and without assistive robotic devices; validation of inertial sensors for movement recovery trajectories in stroke; neurophysiological features of robotic gait training; long term prognostic markers of consciousness recovery. She has almost 100 peer reviewed articles or book chapters to her name, with a Google Scholar H Index of 25 and Scopus 21. She has been given several awards for her work and these include the 2013 Italian Clinical Neurophysiology Society Young Investigator Award, the 2008 Italian Neuroepidemiology Association “Giulia Benassi” Prize and the 2004 “G.Pampiglione “ Prize by the Italian Neurological Society. She is also an active clinician and has been the responsible person of the Outpatient Clinic for NeuroRehabilitation and of the Movement Analysis Laboratory of her Institution.
