Biosketch: Carlo Ferrarese is Professor of Neurology, Scientific Director of the Milan Center for Neuroscience (www.neuromi.it) and Member of Executive Board of the University of Milano-Bicocca. He is also Chairman of Neurological Department, of Fondazione IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori, San Gerardo Hospital, Monza. He has been Coordinator of six National Projects (PRIN) and Unit chief of FIRB project “Genopolis” of the MUR. Unit chief of several strategic projects of the MoH. Involved in a 7th FP project of European Community (“NAD” Nanoparticles for therapy and diagnosis of Alzheimer disease), and in a strategic project on neurodegenerative diseases (“NEDD” Network enabled drug design). Unit Chief of the project IVASCOMAR of National Technologic Cluster ALISEI. At present he is Coordinator of PRIN 2022 Project “Head down Tilt”, Unit Chief of AIFA Project “INTERCEPTOR” and Spoke leader of the PNRR Project AGE-IT. Carlo Ferrarese served as Secretary (2013-2015) andTreasurer (2015-2017) of the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN), President of the Association for the Study of Dementia (SINDEM) 2018-2020, Italian Delegate to the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) 2014-2017 and Italian Delegate to UEMS, Section of Neurology (2014-present).
