Biosketch: Corrado De Vito has been a Full Professor of General and Applied Hygiene at Sapienza University of Rome (Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases) since 2021. He has also been Director of the Residency School of Hygiene and Preventive Medicine (Sapienza University of Rome) since 2020 and of the Master of Science in Management for Coordinating Functions of Healthcare Professions (Sapienza University of Rome) since 2019.
His main scientific interests include the epidemiology and prevention of infectious diseases, clinical epidemiology, Public Health Genomics, efficacy and safety of health interventions (vaccine efficacy and safety), and evaluation of vaccine hesitancy. He also has particular expertise in conducting surveys to assess the knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of the general population and its subgroups regarding different aspects of health care. Overall, he is author of 155 publications in peer-review journals (H-Index of 27) and he has been invited to give more than 50 invited lectures at national and international congresses.
Corrado De Vito obtained several grants at the national and international levels, including projects funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE).
