Biosketch: Cristiano D'Andrea received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Messina in 2013. Since 2018, he has been a permanent researcher at the Institute of Applied Physics of the National Research Council (CNR). Dr. D'Andrea is an expert in optical spectroscopies and specializes in the production and characterization of metal and semiconductor nanomaterials for light-emitting devices, sensors, and photovoltaic applications.
His current research interests include Raman, Surfcece- and Tip- enhanced spectroscopies, atomic force microscopy, and the development of innovative methods and techniques for sensing applications, with a particular focus on the early diagnosis of neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. D'Andrea is the Principal Investigator of a Research Project of Relevant National Interest (PRIN). He has co-authored over 60 peer-reviewed papers, which have collectively received more than 2,300 citations.
