Biosketch: Francesca Forlè is Research Fellow (RTD-A) in Theoretical Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy of Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. She teaches phenomenology, neurophenomenology and philosophy of cognitive sciences. Her main research interests are in phenomenology and philosophy of mind, and she focuses particularly on the role of the body in shaping one’s experience and personal identity, and on the phenomenon of (bodily) expressivity. In this context, she is interested in investigating the experiential aspects of getting older and how ageing implies an existential modification that is based both on a changed experience of the body and on a modified relation to oneself, the others and the world. She is a member of the research centres PERSONA and gender of Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, of SIFiT (the Italian society for theoretical philosophy) and of EPSSE (the European Philosophical Society for the Study of Emotions). She is also Managing Editor of the scientific journal Phenomenology and Mind.
