Biosketch: Dr. Luca Cuffaro, MD, FEBN is an Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine, University of Milan-Bicocca, and a Neurologist Consultant at the Department of Neuroscience, Fondazione IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori, Monza. He graduated cum laude in Medicine and Surgery in 2014 from the University of Pavia, with a research thesis on deep brain stimulation (DBS) for impulse control disorders in Parkinson's disease, in collaboration with the Carlo Besta Neurological Institute in Milan. He completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in 2020 at the University of East London, focusing on EEG data analysis and voxel-based morphometry in post-stroke patients, and subsequently specialized in Neurology, graduating cum laude in 2020 from the University of Palermo, with a thesis on cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers as predictors of Alzheimer's disease progression. Since 2023, Dr. Cuffaro has been a researcher at the University of Milan-Bicocca, working on a multicentric international study on dementia prevention and healthy aging. His research interests include neurodegenerative diseases, biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease, preventive strategies for frailty, and teleneurology approaches. Dr. Cuffaro is actively involved in several professional societies, including the European Academy of Neurology and the Italian Society of Neurology. Actively involded in peer-reviewing and regional teaching courses.
