Biosketch: Marialuisa Marzullo is an assistant professor at the University of Naples Federico II, Department of Economics, Management, Institutions. Her research interests are in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Her most recent research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence technologies, such as IBM Watson, in the healthcare sector, exploring the impacts and benefits of digital transformation. Her research encompasses service ecosystems, service innovation, and smart technologies, with current projects including Hiro, Abii, and Pepper, service and social robots for vulnerable people such as aging individuals. Marialuisa collaborates with international research centers and has participated in numerous conferences on service innovation. Marialuisa has actively participated in several research projects, including:
- PON Research and Innovation 2014-2020: This project aimed at investing in human capital through innovative doctorates with industrial characterization, analyzing opportunities and limitations of customer value co-creation. Partners included the University of Naples Federico II, IBM Italia, and VTT Technical Research Center Ltd, Finland. The local coordinator was Prof. Cristina Mele. (2017-2020)
- Smart Nudging: A project on how cognitive technologies enable choice architectures for value co-creation. - MOD-UPP: A project on organizational models and digital innovation to improve the efficiency of the justice system by generating new forms of technological innovation. - REMIAM: A project to improve the cultural accessibility of museums through the “Museum Network” paradigm, involving various partners including the Department of Economics, Management, Institutions, Scabec, Spinvector, University of Salerno, Suor Orsola Benincasa University, Valentino Comunicazione, CNR Naples, and the Italian Institute of Technology Mario & Paolo Cosenza Srl. - The Role of Intelligent Technologies in Reducing the Negative Impact of Covid-19 on the Health and Well-Being of the Elderly: This project focused on detecting socioeconomic factors affecting older people during the COVID-19 pandemic and evaluating the effects, efficiency, and resilience factors of national and regional strategies and public health responses.
