Biosketch: Michele Bertani is Assistant Professor (RdT-A) in General Sociology. His research interests are: welfare systems in a comparative perspective; issues related to the governance and evaluation of social policies at regional, national and European level, with particular attention to the issues of aging, family and migrants.
He is member of the Scientific Committee Learning, Education and Active Ageing, established to the Research Program "Age-It Ageing Well in an Ageing Society", funded by the European Union - Next Generation EU and he participates in the activities and projects of the European Network on Ageing Studies (ENAS), affiliated to the North American Network on Ageing Studies (NANAS). Currently, he is involved in the project of the World Health Organization (WHO) "Age-friendly Cities Framework", for the validation in Italian of The Age-Friendly Cities and Communities Questionnaire (AFCCQ).
