Biosketch: Miriam Capri is Associate Professor of General Pathology at Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, where she teaches Immunology/Immunopathology in the Course of Medicine & Surgery (Bologna, Forlì and Ravenna, in Italian and English languages). She is a member of CSR (centro di Studio e Ricerca) of Aging at the University of Bologna.Her research adresses epigenetic regulators and markers of the aging process, in particular adopting two different type of models: healthy centenarians for the study of decelerate aging and astronauts for the study of accelerate aging. She received funds from Italian Space Agency. In Age.It, one of the tasks is to identify circulating biomarkers able to predict the progressive occlusion of carotid arteries.
