Biosketch: Eleonora Fiorenzato is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Padova (IT). She received the National Scientific Habilitation as Associate Professor in SDG 11/PSIC-01 (Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience) from the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).
Her research focuses on studying and characterizing Parkinson’s disease and its progression through various biomarkers. These include fluid biomarkers, neuroimaging techniques (such as structural MRI, resting-state fMRI, and positron emission tomography), neuropsychological and behavioral testing, as well as digital cognitive biomarkers and remote monitoring wearables. Additionally, her research interest extends to normal aging, aiming to identify risk or protective factors in comparison to pathological aging, as seen in neurodegenerative conditions.
