Biosketch: Maria Epifania achieved the National Scientific Qualification as an Associate Professor in the Italian higher education system for the disciplinary field of 12/A1 - Private law. (Academic Recruitment Field 12/A - Private law, according to the national classification). She is a researcher at the Department of Economics at the University of Molise, where she teaches Family Law in the Master's Degree in Social Service and Social Policy, and Contract Law and Technological Innovation in the Master's Degree in Management and Business Consulting. She serves as the Erasmus coordinator for the degree courses in Social Service Sciences and the Master's Degree in Social Service and Social Policy. In 2023, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at Fordham Law School, New York, where she delivered a presentation in English titled “Trust as Wealth Management and Estate Planning Tool for the Elderly: A Comparative Study between the United States and Italy” on December 6, 2023, as part of the Visiting Scholar and Research Seminar Series 2023. She received an Erasmus+ Teaching Grant to carry out teaching activities abroad at the Department of Civil Law, Universitat de Valencia, Spain. She has been awarded two IDIBE (Instituto de Derecho Iberoamericano) Awards for Scientific Excellence: one for her monograph "Accordi di reintegrazione della legittima e strumenti ‘alternativi’ di composizione della vicenda successoria", Edizioni Scientifiche Italiane, 2023, and another for her monograph "Riflessioni in tema di diseredazione", ESI, 2021. She is an ordinary member of the Italian Society of Civil Law Scholars (SISDIC) and a member of the Association of Doctorates in Private Law (ADP).
