Biosketch: Federica Agosta is Associate Professor at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, and a Group Leader at the Division of Neuroscience at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2003 and specialized in Neurology in 2008. In 2012, she obtained a Ph.D. in Experimental Neurology from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (Milan). In 2007-2008, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Memory and Aging Center, Department of Neurology at the University of California San Francisco, San Francisco, CA, USA. She focuses on studying the pathophysiology of degenerative diseases of the central nervous system, with particular attention to the study of dementias, Parkinson's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Since 2009, Dr. Agosta has been awarded three Young Researcher Projects funded by the Ministry of Health and a Pilot Grant funded by AriSLA (Italian Research Foundation for ALS). Additionally, in 2016, Federica Agosta received an ERC Starting Grant (NeuroTRACK project).
